Yesterday I gave a presentation in Santpoort for a board of commissioners of a large company about my career as a photographer and my work. It gave me the opportunity to head out to the coast afterwards and I ended up in IJmuiden. Great evening with great light. A bit of a different setting this time.... |
The best times for nature- and landscapephotography are in the early hours of the morning, just before sunrise and the last hours of the evening, just after sunset. At these times the light is often at it's best. This is also true for wildlife photography as most wildlife is still active at these hours. I prefer getting out there as early as possible when all is quiet and still dark. Nothing beats a spectacular sunrise! For landscape photography I always make sure I am at least one hour before sunrise at my location. When the first people walking their dogs appear, it's time to call it a day!
