The ‘Stationshal Groningen’ is one of Groningen’s architectural gems. Built in 1896 and designed by Isaac Gosschalk, its interior is a beautiful mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. It’s the main hall of Groningen’s central railway station. The image was taken during one of the ‘City Lights’ workshops I was leading last week. In locations such as these my Canon TS-E 17mm f/5 L tilt and shift lens comes into play beautifully with incredible sharpness and detail. I’ve printed the image 90 x 60cm on satin photo paper on my Canon imageprograf ipf 6450 and it looks stunning. I will definitely return to further explore the photographic possibilities of this national monument.
