During a press trip through Groningen province, one of the highlights was stranding on the mudflats of the Wadden Sea. Once you get stranded, there is nothing else to do then wait for the next tide to come in. It was a terrific experience, especially with the weather we had that day. While disembarking on to the mud flats I noticed the low angle of the sun and that gave me an idea. Wouldn’t it be great if they could touch in the sky and the right angle? I had to try it out and it worked. I thing it’s the decisive factor in this image.
